About this Event
The National Mall is known for museums, monuments, and memory on a national scale. However, the "People's Park" contains a history that goes well beyond what most people think. Learn the stories of the Native Americans who inhabited the land before the arrival of English colonists, the enslaved people who built the grand edifices that represent our government, members of the LGBTQ community who protested for equal rights in the shadow of the museums, and even the old neighborhood that contained DC's largest red light district! This tour has it all, and it's free! Join us on this adventure.
Gratuities for the guide are welcome but not required.
