Lace up your little ones' walking shoes for a half-mile adventure on and off Colfax Avenue as part of the "Anything Can Happen on Colfax" pop-up series!On Saturday, November 28, families will gather in the Cathedral Basilica courtyard to kick off a whimsical, science-and-nature-themed strolling concert featuring live performances, costumed characters, and educational theater from Rainbow Socks - a newly-released, Colorado-based, live-action kids' show on Rocky Mountain PBS. Along the easy, .5 route up Logan, down Pennsylvania and along Colfax, families will enjoy live songs accompanied by educational theater and quick costume changes, a nature-themed game or activity, and a surprise or two along the way.
We'll pause at the halfway point for parent coffee at Ms. Marji's coffee (bring your own mug to help us cut down on waste!). The stroll winds through the urban wilds (as we discover that nature is everywhere!) before concluding for a couple final songs at Champagne Tiger. Stick around and purchase or a warm drink. Their waffles are particularly popular with the little ones :)
Free and open to all, it's a joyful morning of music, movement, and make-believe for the whole family - because on Colfax, anything really can happen.
*Dress for the weather. We'll be outdoors for close to an hour.
*Bring a mug for Ms. Marji's coffee.
*This event is open to absolutely everyone.
*Registration is not required to attend but is much appreciated as it gives the performers an idea of how many/who to expect.
