Join YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee for a special Domestic Violence Awareness Month Stand Against Injustice Lunch & Learn exploring what it means to become a safer person and help create safer communities.Rather than a traditional panel, this interactive conversation will bring together Shear Haven, AMEND Together, and the Sexual Assault Center’s Safe Bar program to explore how everyday people can recognize warning signs, respond to disclosures, safely intervene when something does not feel right, and challenge the behaviors and norms that allow violence to grow.
Building on the ecosystem lens from Rooted in Justice, this Stand Against Injustice Lunch & Learn asks a simple question: What role can each of us play in creating safety?
Our panelists are:
Susanne Shepherd Post, Co-Founder of Shear Haven Initiative at YWCA, Salon Owner, and Survivor
Shan Foster, Executive Director of YWCA’s AMEND Together empowered by the Nashville Predators
Josh Johnson, Director of Training & Prevention - Sexual Assault Center
Jack Ohmes, Statewide Training Specialist for Safe Bar - Sexual Assault Center
Please RSVP for the in-person luncheon and presentation or visit our website - www.ywcanashville.com/webinars to join us virtually at noon
