About this Event
"Seckel’s writing is vivid and transports the reader...The text is rich with emotion and stands out among other post-WWII era historical fiction novels as it highlights the experience of those left behind rather than the war itself." —Southern Review of Books
How it works: for each edition of our book club we’re going to select one book we enjoy that engages themes of death, grief, or nature. We’ll announce the selection and give you time to read it before we meet in-person at the Larkspur Library for an enriching discussion.
We will meet Thursday, October 29th, 2026 from 11am-12:30pm CST for our community discussion.
Participants will be responsible for purchasing their own copy of the book or borrowing from the Nashville Public Library prior to our event.
The first 30 minutes of book club will be for tea, snacks, and mingling, then we will get settled and dive into a 1hr discussion of the book! Registration for this book club will be extremely limited, so make sure you reserve your seat early!
