JASON WILSON is the only artist to be nominated for both a Canadian Folk Music Award and a Canadian Reggae Music Award. He won the latter. Wilson is also a two-time Juno Awards nominee. His recently released Auld Acquaintance is a 'covers album' where Jason pays tribute to the many musical legends he has performed & recorded with over the past four decades. The album honours reggae giants UB40, Aswad, Jackie Mittoo, Jo Jo Bennett & Messenjah … famed Canadian chanteuses Alanis Morissette & Amanda Marshall … as well as folk icons Dave Swarbrick, Dick Gaughan & Stephen Fearing.
Born to Scottish immigrants, Wilson grew up in Downsview and has since amassed over 2,000 performances across North America, the UK, Ireland and the Caribbean.

Marcus Ali (sax)
Patrice Barbanchon (trumpet / keys)
Carl Harvey (lead guitar)
Vince Reel (drums)
Michael Shapinko (bass)

As usual, this is an early show. DOORS open at 8pm and the band steps on stage at 9pm SHARP - for one long 90min set. Their performance is followed by an all vinyl reggae DJ party that goes late - and all in attendance are encouraged to stick around.
