About this Event
Learn all about salmon life cycle, migration, and ongoing restoration efforts, on this guided nature walk as we search for salmon swimming upstream during the fall salmon run!
Event Details
- Date and Time: Sunday, October 18th. Choose from one of two timeslots: 10:00am to 11:30pm or 1:00pm to 2:30pm.
- Location: Meet your event leader beside the parking lot at the entrance to the East Don Trail on the North end of Charles Sauriol Conservation Area, here.
- Parking: There is free parking available in the parking lot located at 1191 Lawrence Ave E.
- Transit: This location is accessible by taking the 91 bus from Woodbine Station. Please allow for additional time in your commute to accommodate potential TTC delays.
- Cancellation Policy: The event will run rain or shine, but will be cancelled if there is a greater than 70% chance of thunderstorm or other hazardous weather. Registrations will be emailed by 8:00am on the morning of the event if there is a cancellation.
Be Prepared
- Please dress appropriately for the weather. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen!
- Comfortable, close-toed shoes for the short walk are highly recommended.
- There are no public washrooms available at the trailhead- please make sure to use the washroom before arriving on-site.
- Bring a personal water bottle and snacks, if needed.
