Singer, songwriter, arranger, and producer, Matti Caspi, has been hailed as one of Israel’s most beloved and prolific musicians. He released dozens of records and close to 1,000 songs and collaborated with some of the most well-known Israeli artists. Sadly, this past February, he passed away from cancer, leaving a gaping hole in the Israeli music world. In this beautiful hour of song, we remember the great Matti Caspi, as Kobi Hass, along with Avital Zemer, perform the most beloved hits from the Caspi repertoire.
Kobi (Jaacov) Hass is a versatile Israeli musician, performing professionally on upright/electric bass, guitar, and vocals across genres from jazz and rock to Israeli folk. Kobi holds a master’s degree in Choir Conducting from Tel Aviv University and a Professional Music Diploma from Berklee College of Music. Based in Toronto, Kobi leads Israeli music sing-alongs, lectures, and actively contributes to the local Jewish and Israeli music scene.
