About this Event

Real-World Skills & Readiness Lab™: Assessment, Vitals & Clinical Reasoning Edition

This is not a lecture. This is a hands-on, scenario-based in-person workshop for nurses, new grads, IENs, and nursing students who want to think more deeply about the patients in their care — not just take and document vitals, but know what to do with what they find.

Most nurses learn to take vitals. Fewer learn to read them. This workshop closes that gap — in person, with real clinical equipment and layered patient scenarios.

📍 What You’ll Practice

• The Baseline Assessment: head to toe structure every shift, delirium screening, normal vs expected vs concerning findings

• Clinical Prompts + Your Response: how your patient’s MAR and Dx shape your next steps; interventions within and outside your scope; focused vs general reassessment

• Putting It All Together: layered multi-directional patient scenarios, gamified assessment and vitals decisions, escalation communication in real time

🧠 How It Works

Sessions are delivered in a small-group format at the ND Simulation Centre using real clinical scenarios, MAR-based decision exercises, and interactive group discussion. You won’t just listen — you will actively work through real patient situations with clinical rationale behind every decision.

📌 A Note on Documentation

While this session is not an accredited program, a Certificate of Completion is provided to all attendees upon finishing the workshop.

⚡ Spots are limited. Small-group format for optimal learning.
