This workshop is delivered in collaboration with QUBIC, Queen's Partnships and Innovation Office, and guest speaker Arash Samimi from ElioMedica.
Objectives:
Understand how technical and regulatory risks affect a technology’s path to commercialization and how targeted milestones can reduce those risks.
Identify key development and regulatory steps needed to determine whether the tech can feasibly progress toward market
Core Topics:
De-risking fundamentals, including how technical validation, regulatory planning, and evidence generation increase confidence and venture value
Regulatory pathways, agencies, classifications, and common approval hurdles in Canada, the US, and other relevant markets
Development milestones and value-creating inflection points, including validation studies, prototypes, manufacturing readiness, regulatory submissions, and early partner engagement
