One of the most familiar faces on British TV, Si has spent decades bringing people together through food, friendship and laughter.
Now he returns with Proper Home Cooking, his first solo cookbook. Filled with more than 100 unfussy, flavour-packed recipes for everyday life, it's a celebration of honest cooking, affordable ingredients and the simple pleasure of gathering around the table.
In conversation with festival patron Kate Fenton, Si reflects on the friendships, travels and experiences that have shaped his remarkable career, the enduring legacy of the Hairy Bikers, and why good food has always been about far more than what's on the plate.
