Award-winning novelist Sarah Hilary’s acclaimed crime novels include the DI Marnie Rome series. Her latest is The Drowning Place – the first in a haunting new series set in the Peak District.
Screenwriter and author Matt Baker is the creator of the hit Channel 4 drama Patience, alongside ITV's Hotel Portofino. Set in Capri, A Taste for M**der is his debut novel.
Sarah and Matt will explore the ways in which setting brings out the best and worst in characters, and plays a significant part in the solving of the deadliest mysteries.
Together they'll discuss the key ingredients of creativity, how landscape can convey themes of both grief and comfort, and why different ways of seeing the world can make for unforgettable storytelling.
