Workshop on technical ceramics at the Royal School of Mines with two days of invited presentations from ceramic experts.About this Event
This year is the 175th anniversary of the Royal School of Mines, where the Centre for Advanced Structural Ceramics (CASC) has been based since its beginning in 2008. To celebrate this event, we are hosting a two-day workshop on ceramics. Our objective is to bring together the UK community to discuss the current advances in the field. We would like this event to be an open forum for knowledge exchange that could help to determine the status of the field, define future areas of research and generate new collaborations. We are naming this workshop after Prof. Anthony G. Evans, one of the most distinguished alumni of our department, whose influence is still strongly felt in the community.
The conference will feature two days of invited presentations, and we plan to include a series of talks covering the processing, properties, and modelling of ceramics.
The workshop will take place the 14th and 15th of December 2026 at the Royal School of Mines (RSM), Imperial College London and registration is free. We are welcoming all students, researchers and industrialist who'd like to attend. There will be a poster session where they can present a contribution if they wish to do so.
