About this Event
Taking the exhibition as your starting point, Laura will guide you through playful drawing exercises, encouraging you to look closely, experiment freely and develop your own approach to portraiture.
In week one, you’ll explore the exhibition, connecting with individual pieces through visual notetaking. In the creative learning studio, you’ll apply what you’ve recorded to form the basis of a series of self-portrait studies using props and costumes.
In week two, you’ll develop your portrait/s using mixed media. Based on your interests and approach to image-making, Laura will guide you to produce work that draws out your personal visual language.
Open to all skill levels, this two-part workshop offers a supportive and inspiring space to experiment with portraiture and image-making.
Please note this is a 2-part workshop, your ticket gives you entry to both sessions.
