About this Event
The Health Informatics Centre (HIC), at University of Dundee has extensive experience in securely managing and using health data for research through its Trusted Research Environment (TRE). This session will introduce HIC's capabilities and the opportunity to broaden access to regional data across health, social care, public services and other relevant sources.
The second part of the session will be an open, interactive workshop to explore what regional challenges we would like to better understand, what data might help us answer those questions, and what could become possible if different sources of regional data could be brought together securely.
This is an opportunity to think beyond specific datasets or predefined projects. The aim is to identify potential opportunities and shared priorities that could inform the future development of regional data access through HIC and support research, service improvement, prevention and better understanding of health and inequalities across Tayside.
