🎙️ Poetry & Me Live 🎙️
Poetry & Me is an evening of live poetry and conversations brought to you by A The Poet, a Zimbabwean born creative from Leeds currently living in West London.
A The Poet hosts a variety of poets from across the world as they share their journey into writing. She explores their writing techniques, the way they get over writer’s block and what initially brought them to poetry.
Expect to be inspired and entertained by amazing spoken word poets and writers. Their journeys are not the same but they all share a passion for storytelling!
Open Mic slots will be available at the end of the evening, please provide your name when checking in with one of the Poetry & Me Team.

Featured artists!
Tifany MarSah
Tifany MarSah is a UK-based spoken word artist and facilitator whose work centres on storytelling, vulnerability, and connection. She began her journey in 2020 and became a semi-finalist in the BBC Words First competition (2021), going on to perform across theatre, cultural spaces, and corporate settings including Kensington Palace and Savills, to name a few.
As a participant of Poetic Unity's Spoken-word Theatre programme, she was able to expand her title into performance poetry and was later awarded Best Spoken Word Performance (WordplayandFlow, 2024). Since then, she has facilitated workshops in schools through the Proud To Be Project with BMT Culture Hub and recently became a permanent assistant for WriteB4TheMic, a workshop-led collective and creating her own programme ROOTS. Her practice draws on imagery, conversation, and "spoken letters" to support others in exploring personal narrative, creative expression and cultural belonging, beginning with her own.

Akeem Greeaux
Akeem Greeaux is a London-based spoken word artist. His debut EP, Trust in Joy, is an intimate reflection on memory, belonging and family.
Akeem’s writing focuses on identity his lived experiences and the influence of his friends and family have on his life.
He’s performed at The Southbank Centre, Brick Lane Jazz festival and as part of the Fingal Poetry festival.
