Special Samhain ceremony - 2hrs on a moving Canal Boat; Altar, consecrations, honouring ancestors & water spirit; feastingAbout this Event
A pre-Samhain Ceremony on a privately hired Narrow Boat on one of London's Canals! Total sailing time is 2 hours.
- Setting off (7pm sharp) . Once our narrowboat sets sail from 'Pirate Castle', , there will be about 20minutes to settle down. You can use this time to attune, centre, reach calm and balance.. in readiness for the ritual.
- The ceremony - will be kept short and simple, so that both experienced and beginners can easily participate. After white sage consecrations, we call on 4 archangels to guard the circle, then evoke the lord of the underworld (Hades) to open a gateway.. so that we may commune with, remember and honour our dead ancestors and other loved ones who have passed through the veil. Small crafted offerings will be made to river spirit .. before ceremony ends.
- Social time- there will be time after the ceremony .. to have a small feast and socialise with other attendees and enjoy the sailing.. as the narrow boat goes back to pirate castle .
Spaces limited to 9 people. So book immediately to avoid missing out. Due to the hired nature of this venue, no refunds given.
---- Canal Safety ----
The hired narrow-boat will be sailing for 2 hours and return to same place of departure. Once started, you can not get off the boat. At are narrow. times keep your arms, head and body inside the boat. Do not lean out as the boat goes through 5..6 tunnels and under bridges that are narrow..
---- PRACTICAL DETAILS ------
Meeting point / Time/ Setting sail:
- 6.45pm - 7pm: Meet outside The Pirate Castle, Oval Road, Camden. Please be on time. If you are not onboard when the boat leaves, you miss the event.
- 7pm- We will be allowed in to the building, then to basemt level that has the boarding platform to the Narrow Boat (Black Pearl). It will set sail, skippered by a professional Captain who will be in charge of the boat for the whole duration, and aided by an assistant.
Toilet: The Narrow boat has a small Toilet.
Kitchen & indoor space: There is a small kitchen space inside the covered area of the narrow boat. It also has a fully covered indoor space with 10-12 seats. We will use it for our feasting time.
Deck ; The forward Deck is where our altar will be set up. It's also where the ceremony takes place. Seats can be moved to the decking for ceremony. Or you can be seated on the 'floor' .
After ceremony : You may stay on the deck and relax and watch the river / canal and scenary.
--- WHAT TO BRING? -----
- Please bring only small bags. As boat walkways are narrow.
- Ritual items (optional): Ritual cloaks, capes, masks; flowers for altar;
- the canal Boat goes through rpesidential areas. So NO loud music.
- Warm clothing & rain-coats/ outdoor shoes or boots (and ankle covered socks! ).
Food & Drinks for Social Please bring food & drinks to share (optional)...
Tidying up: Please take any rubbish out to bins on pavements.

About Mani (facilitator) :
