The Philadelphia Museum of Art Contemporary Craft Show, now in its 49th year, is set to take place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. This esteemed event showcases unique, one-of-a-kind works by artists from across the United States, representing 13 diverse categories of craft and design. When attendees purchase tickets or become sponsors, they are directly supporting the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the sole beneficiary of the show, which has contributed over $15 million to the museum over the past 48 years to aid various programs, exhibitions, publications, and acquisitions. Importantly, all works at the show are for sale, and the artists retain 100% of their sale proceeds. The event includes an interactive scarf and shawl tying presentation on the opening day, November 7, at 1 PM. Following this, on November 8, committee members will model art-to-wear pieces by participating artists during a fashion event, demonstrating the intersection of art and wearable design. The show operates from November 7 to 9, with specific hours for each day: Friday from 11 AM to 7 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM. Additionally, a Preview Party for the 50th Annual Show will occur on November 5, from 4 PM to 9 PM, marking the beginning of this celebrated event.
