About this Event
Ever thought about running your own business? Not every business is an engineering business. Come out and hear how Adam Newlands went from being a restaurant employee to starting and running a micro-brewery. This will be a repeat of an event held in December 2024, but this time Adam will focus more on the business side of the business.
As well as beer, Stalwarts is also known for serving delicious locally-made pot-pies. Flavours include Steak-and-mushroom, Chicken-and-Leek, Tortier, and Vegan Also Gobi. Munchies, softdrinks, and pies will be provided for all registered guests. If your dietary preference is vegan, please let me know by email ahead of time. Of course, beer will be available for purchase. Come on out and have a pub night.
The aim of the Entrepreneurship Committee is to encourage engineers (and others) to be more entrepreneurial and start businesses of their own. Small business is the backbone of the Canadian Economy. It can also be a lot of fun. So come out to get inspired about how you too can have a business of your own. Or just come out and mingle over a beer.
If you are already in business for yourself, then this is an opportunity for you to network and share your knowledge with fellow engineers.
Location: Stalwart Brewing Company, 10 High Street, Carleton Place, ON.
(22 minutes from Kanata) We will be meeting in the pub attached to the brewery.
Time: Event starts at 6:30pm. Presentation from 7:00 until 8:00. There will be opportunities for networking both before and after the presentation.
