During a hunter pace, teams of 2 - 3 riders follow a marked route at their own pace. There are lots of opportunities for optional jumping. Both English and Western riders are welcome. Helmets are mandatory for everyone.PRICING
- Pre-register and pre-pay by 11:59 pm on Thursday, Oct. 15 in order to get the $100 (HST incl.) Early Bird rate. After that the rate is $120 (HST incl.).

RIDING THE PACE
- Secretary's desk (where you declare who is in your team and get your team number) opens at 8 am. Teams start on a first come, first served basis between 9 am and noon. Note that if it is a hot day, the start may be advanced to an hour earlier.
- The route will use public roads as well as private edges of fields and forest paths. The length is typically 15 - 20 km and there is a way to make it shorter if you and/or your horse feel tired.
- The winner is the team that arrives closest to the ideal time ridden by a team of seasoned Ottawa Valley Hunt members going at a brisk "hunter pace" given the weather and terrain.
