Back by popular demand, the UNAAWA Young Professionals Committee is pleased to present Pathways to Global Impact: Careers in the UN and Public Sector on 24 September 2026.
This special event will bring together students, graduates, and young professionals interested in careers that create meaningful impact both locally and globally.
This event is open to UWA students, students from other universities as well as young professionals.
Attendees will hear from distinguished speakers, including Pamela Currie, State Director, Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Western Australia) and Former Member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly Christine Tonkin who will share insights from their professional journeys and discuss opportunities to contribute through public service, international engagement, and leadership.
The event aims to inspire the next generation of changemakers while providing practical advice and networking opportunities for those exploring careers aligned with the values and mission of the United Nations.
Hosted by the UNAAWA Young Professionals Committee, this event supports the development of future leaders and contributes to the achievement of SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
