About this Event
Geovation Scotland invites you to our brand new Lunch and Learn series, a bite-sized afternoon session absolutely packed with networking, insights and of course - lunch!
At our October event, we will be joined by Jamie McHale who will talk about his experience working with startups, and his latest project looking to support the forestry industry.
Jamie McHale is a senior software engineer and business consultant with over 15 years’ experience in software development and startups. He runs Telaco, an Edinburgh-based technology studio, helping founders and small teams turn ideas into working products through prototyping, development and technical leadership. He is currently building StandingWire for the forestry industry and organises EdinburghJS, GlasgowJS and Scottish Technology Club.
In this session you will see StandingWire in action: a new tool helping forestry professionals and land agents identify opportunities and analyse sites. Jamie will explain how he is using AI both within the product and to accelerate development, getting working prototypes in front of potential customers, and turning those conversations into concrete product decisions.
Jamie will share what’s next for StandingWire and where connections across forestry, land and geospatial communities could take it. Come along to see what Jamie is building, bring your perspective and explore the possibilities.
The session will run from 1-2pm at our hub at Meadowbank House in Edinburgh.
Open to all, but of particular interest to those interested in geospatial and property data, including founders, and enthusiasts!
Tickets are limited, so secure your spot today.
We will be taking video and photos for social media and future promotion of Geovation Scotland, please approach a member of the Geovation team on the evening of the event if you are not comfortable about being filmed or photographed.
