Edinburgh is consistently ranked one of the best cities in the world to live and visit. Both our population and our economy are expected to grow faster than the Scottish average. In order to maintain our success however, significant progress will need to be made on creating the infrastructure we need to turn ambition into reality.
From housing and transport to commercial space and innovation infrastructure, too many of the developments our future economy depends on are taking longer, costing more, or failing to progress. If Edinburgh is to remain competitive, we need to remove the barriers that are holding the city back and this event is an opportunity to help shape those solutions.
Join us for this interactive half-day conference, delivered in partnership with CMS, as we bring together leaders from across sectors to explore the practical changes that will make the biggest difference to delivering Edinburgh's ambitions. Together, we'll examine how we can improve the viability of development, secure the powers and policy frameworks needed to accelerate progress across the region, and address the skills and labour shortages that continue to constrain growth. The insights gathered will directly inform the Chamber's policy and advocacy work in the run-up to the next local elections and as the regional devolution agenda develops.
