"Opera Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" is a scintillating program of operatic scenes celebrating the wit, passion, mischief, and joy of women in opera. From flirtation and friendship to fierce independence and fabulous vocal fireworks, these scenes showcase some of opera's most unforgettable characters as they thrill audiences with musical moments at their most dramatic, hilarious, and romantic.
Vocalists (and besties) Renee Macdonald, Serafina Belletini, Lindsey Polcyn, Heather McConnell Lulofs, Rebecca Ross, and Alexandra Gilliam are joined by Aurelien Eulert at the piano for a one-night-only concert event that you don't want to miss. Set against the backdrop of the beautiful Trinity Memorial Church (2212 Spruce Street) at the heart of Philadelphia, our program features works by Bellini, Bernstein, Bizet, Cilea, Lehár, Offenbach, Puccini, Strauss, Gilbert & Sullivan, and Verdi.
