And others in an afternoon to express solidarity with Palestine and to demand an end to the genocide in Gaza and the West Bank.
Poetry is not enough. Song is not enough. Flour is needed.
As poets and as ordinary humans, we take sides with justice and peace and against war and racism.
Our poetry must take on the fight to stop the genocide.
Your voice, your principles & values and your pockets will be called to support the multifaceted struggles for survival and self determination of Palestine.
Please come to contribute funds to express your solidarity and resistance with the Palestinian people. You can donate directly to support families in Gaza (their members will be present) and the organizing against genocide.
The traditional Flower & Song is a mexican indigenous rooted gathering where our words, voices, poems and cantos uplift the natural world and the place of humans in her. War, genocide, racism, poverty, injustices of any kind berate and decimate humans and the natural world. To stand up for Gaza and Palestine is to stand up for the natural world, to stand up for humanity, to stand up for what is right and against what is wrong.
Please join us.
We will be asking people to donate to support families in Gaza.
