In this curated introduction to traditional Chinese brush painting, we will follow a structured and inspiring way of journeying through a centuries-old art - working with authentic materials, explore classic styles and themes. Beginner or experienced, come build a new authentic skills and create your own mindful strokes.

Course Journey:
Week 1-2 : Brush to strokes: The mindful basics
Week 3-4 : Two painting styles with Animals & Botanicals
Week 5-6 : Expression, Composition & Aesthetics
Week 7-8 : Personal final piece & mini showcase

📍 Location: Curzon Café, The Bentall Centre, Kingston upon Thames
⏳ Course length: Weekly for 8 weeks (2 Nov-21 Dec or 3 Nov-22 Dec)
🗓️ Starting Date: 2/11 or 3/11 (Choose your starting date options below)
⏱️ Time: 1.5 hour per session (Choose your timeslot options below)
👥 Class size: 3-8 people, 16+ years old
💷 Cost: £300 for full course — all materials included

🔖 Confirmation: You will receive an email by 23rd October to confirm your class. If your chosen slot doesn't meet the minimum of 3 participants, you're welcome to switch to one that does — or receive a full refund.
🔖 Rescheduling and Refund: Refund is only allowed 7 days before course starts. If you'd like to withdraw from the booking, please notify me as soon as possible. If you're not able to make a session, please notify me as soon as possible and we can arrange for a make-up lesson.

About the instructor
Jasmine Chan is an architect, designer and illustrator based in Kingston Upon Thames. She has experience designing & teaching university summer courses in Hong Kong. She also recently acquired a certification in facilitation.
Her art journey: Jasmine has been drawing and painting since childhood, with most part of her training focusing in Chinese painting. During her architectural studies, she has blended traditional ink painting with contemporary and multi-media approach to create drawings for ideas and story-telling.
