What is a tea meditation?
Tea meditation is a slow, sensory practice that uses the ritual of tea — the warmth of the cup, the scent of the herbs, the act of sipping — as an anchor to bring you fully into the present moment. Rather than sitting in silence and stillness alone, you're guided through a multi-sensory experience where taste, smell, and touch support your nervous system in settling down. It's meditation for people who find it hard to "just sit," and a doorway into presence that doesn't require any prior practice.
Why it matters
In a culture that moves fast and asks us to constantly produce, rest and stillness can start to feel like a luxury — or even something we have to earn. Steeped is a weekly invitation to unlearn that. It's a chance to slow your nervous system down, reconnect with your body, and be held in intentional community, even if just for an hour a week.
