_bounce (verb): to move with a lot of energy and excitement."_mother bounce is an event series highlighting the music that makes you bounce. its not about any particular genre of music, but about how the beat makes you _feel._
all are welcome, just don’t be a weirdo. come ready to dance or get out 🤏🏾
expect to hear anything and everything, including: philly, jersey, and baltimore club, atl and miami bass, nola bounce, ghettotech, baile funk, juke, garage, ukg, and more.
the point is, the girls are gonna make you bounce. with an emphasis on live mixing and experimentation, they’ll put us on to their favorite edits and producers, play their own tracks, and flip some of your favorite songs into something new, unexpected, and booty bouncy.
for volume 1, we're highlighting a few of philly's favorite female DJs and vibe curators:
* BLACKMDNA is a high energy DJ specializing in club ghettotech and funky flips.
* ROUGH DRAFT enjoys blending broken beats, bumping bassy mixes, and paying homage to the influence of east coast club music (philly, jersey, baltimore) on the culture.
* BBYVIRGO is an eclectic sound maker rooted in Philly. From the sounds of Rod Lee to Bjork, she is sure to keep you on your toes!
* UNCLE JOEY is a hard techno producer/DJ built on club music. Joey brings bass that lands in your chest regardless.
