Here We Glow: Navigating menopause through community and wellbeing

The Bridge is hosting Here We Glow, a six-month programme supporting women through perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause with information, wellbeing and community.

Every woman experiences menopause differently, but no one should have to navigate it alone. Through a diverse programme of expert talks, comedy, workshops, movement and wellbeing sessions, Here We Glow creates space to learn, share experiences, connect with others and feel more confident through change.

Whether you're looking for trusted information, practical ways to support your wellbeing, a chance to move and laugh, or simply to meet women who get it, there's a place for you here.
About the speakers
Miss Nandita Deo, FRCOG, MSc Health Care and Design, is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Whipps Cross Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust, where she has spent her career caring for women across east London. She leads the hospital's Women's Health Hub, a service designed to bring gynaecology care closer to the community and cut down the long, fragmented journeys women often face before getting answers.

She practices at Nuffield Health, The Holly Hospital, where she sees women through every stage of the transition. Her approach is to give women the time and the evidence to make their own decisions about symptoms, treatment and hormone therapy.

Nandita also delivers menopause webinars for health professionals, training GPs, nurses and colleagues in the wider workforce so that women get well-informed care wherever they first present. She is particularly interested in the aspects of menopause around bleeding changes, sleep, mood, workplace impact, and how symptoms are recognised and treated differently across communities.

She is the Clinical Director for Safety and Quality at Whipps Cross. She holds an MSc in Healthcare and Design from Imperial College London and the Royal College of Art, and a background in health informatics — shaping a career-long interest in redesigning services around the people using them.

Dede Foley is the Health and Wellbeing Manager at The Bridge and is an experienced fitness professional, Level 3 Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist with over 20 years’ experience supporting women to move with confidence, feel capable in their bodies and develop a healthier, happier relationship with exercise.

Having worked with women through different stages of life, she understands the physical and emotional changes that can come with perimenopause and menopause, and how our approach to fitness may need to evolve along the way.

Dede’s focus is on helping women nearing 40 and beyond understand how training, movement, recovery and sustainable exercise can support their health and wellbeing. She believes fitness should be fun rather than punishing, and that women can feel strong and confident in their bodies at every age.

Phillipa Jacobs-Smith is a Health & Nutrition Coach specialising in menopause. As a member of the UK & International Health Coaching Association (UKIHCA), she works within their Scope of Practice to provide non-medical, evidence-informed support to women navigating perimenopause and menopause.

Phillipa helps women understand what’s happening in their bodies and make realistic, sustainable lifestyle changes that fit into busy lives. Her work focuses on micro-habits, behaviour change tools and time-efficient strategies that can support sleep, energy and everyday wellbeing.

Her approach is warm, inclusive and grounded in helping women advocate for themselves in healthcare settings. She is passionate about making menopause feel less confusing and more manageable, and brings a practical, real-life lens to conversations about symptoms, identity shifts, relationships, work and everyday wellbeing.

Our specialist progjects range from a diverse menopause programme, monthly supper clubs, creative health activities and our Friday mums programme to name just a few.

We offer versatile spaces for partnerships, projects and hire, including meeting rooms, our multi use studio, a warm cafe environment that can be configured for semiprivate or fully private meetings, birthday parties, dinners, gigs, Christmas parties and more, plus a garden and a kitchen. Everything you need to run workshops, launches, team days, clinics or supper events.

The Bridge continues to grow as a space where women can show up as you are, connect with others and discover what becomes possible when women have space to belong.
