About this Event
Level 3, St James Quarter
Join award-winning performer and multi-instrumentalist Malin Lewis for a snapshot of new work inspired by their award-winning debut album Halocline.
Using fiddle, spoken word and a self-made bagpipe, Malin deconstructs and reimagines the musical traditions they grew up with, weaving together laments, keens, jigs and reels.
The performance explores transness, the inherent queerness of nature and the muddy, transformative worlds within a halocline, creating an immersive meeting point between traditional music and contemporary performance.
