About this Event
The Partnership is the not-for-profit economic and community development organization serving the Lower East Side of Manhattan as its Business Improvement District, providing a suite of community benefit services. Our neighborhood-based initiatives — including supplementary sanitation and public space maintenance, public art, and a variety of promotional and programmatic activities — are designed to improve overall quality of life for everyone who resides in, works in, or visits the Lower East Side.
Come get an overview of the Partnership’s programming and services in Fiscal Year 2026, discuss the outlook for the year ahead, and elect directors. Bites will be served, and you'll have an opportunity to mingle with neighbors and colleagues.
We're honored to host Delia Awusi, the City's Mom & Pop Czar from City Hall, for remarks, as well as our friends at the Seward Park Conservancy.
Following a brief program, you're invited to gather outside of the Abrons Arts Center for hot chocolate from Henry Street Settlement and a ceremonial lighting of our holiday snowflakes!
"The Lower East Side is home to incredible mom and pop businesses that give this neighborhood its unique flavor and character. During my walk with the LES, I had the opportunity to meet several business owners and hear firsthand about some of the issues they are facing. These conversations are so important because they help me bring real concerns back to City Hall as we work to make it easier to operate and grow a business in NYC." — Delia A. Awusi, Mom & Pop Czar
