Join Gaza Champions for an afternoon of learning, creativity, and community.
Kids will learn how clay naturally forms in the earth, then get their hands messy creating their own clay sculptures.
What to Expect
1:00 PM Welcome + settle in
1:15 PM Learn how clay forms in the earth
1:30 PM Clay demonstration + hands-on workshop
2:35 PM Share creations + clean up
3:00 PM Workshop ends
Your ticket includes admission, air-dry clay and materials, and a handmade creation to take home, dry in the sun, and keep.
A portion of proceeds will go directly to families sponsored by Gaza Champions in Gaza, contributing to ongoing mutual aid efforts.
Limited to 16 children. Best suited for ages 4 and up.
Please plan to arrive by 1:00 PM so your child can participate in the full workshop.

Getting Here & What to Expect:
All events take place inside the Craft Lab at Because Science, our retail shop located at 1759 Columbia Rd NW, Washington, DC (across from the Line Hotel in Adams Morgan).
Look for the squiggly rainbow mural! Enter Because Science and walk to the back of the store (between the biology and anatomy sections) to find the entrance to the Craft Lab
Metro: We're a 10-minute walk from the Woodley Park (red line) or Columbia Heights (green line) Metro stations.
Bus: The D72, D74, C51, and C53 buses stop nearby.
Parking: Street parking is mostly limited to 30 minutes—walking, biking, or ride share is recommended. There is a parking garage located at 2421 18th St NW, about a block away.
