About this Event
A relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop where you'll learn the basics of lino printing and create your own unique hand-printed fabric patch.
Using traditional lino printing techniques, you'll design and carve your own lino block before learning how to ink and print your design onto fabric. You'll leave with a finished fabric patch to take home, as well as your carved lino block to use again and again for future printing projects.
During this 90-minute workshop you'll:
- Design and carve your own lino block
- Learn the basics of relief printing
- Print your design onto a fabric patch to take home
- Keep your carved lino block for future printing
No experience is necessary and all materials are provided.

Muswell Hill Creatives is a collective of artists, designers and makers founded in 2014 to champion creativity and celebrate quality craftsmanship in North London.
On Saturday 17 October, it will be bringing people together to get creative at its 8th Make and Mend Festival - the 1st to be held at the iconic art deco Hornsey Town Halll in thriving and creative Crouch End.
Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a total beginner looking to spark a new passion, the event is your invitation to slow down, create, and connect. Visitors are invited to participate in making and mending workshops to learn new skills and take up new hobbies, as well as shopping from artists at the mini makers market.
Refreshments will be served by the Stroud Green WI and Sean's Shack which is open daily at the Hornsey Town Hall serving hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and more.
