About this Event

Music is a unifier. Come for an afternoon of unity and inspiration at The Peale Museum.

Baltimore National Heritage Area (BNHA) partners with The Peale, Baltimore's Community Museum, to bring you bēheld as they present Let Freedom Sing: Songs of Legacy and Liberation. BNHA's mission is to promote, preserve, and enhance Baltimore’s cultural and historic legacy and natural resources for current and future generations. bēheld is a collective of fierce women creating music, commmunity, and sisterhood. Their repetoire spans social justice songs of the past 75 years combined with pop and soul songs of today that honor women, the challenges they face, and the joy and community they experience.

Join us at The Peale for this special event, with a pre-show performance by Sounds of Surprise, with Bob Jacobson and Leon Hickman, and a special performance honoring Frances Ellen Watkins Harper.
