Hi Cinema Circle,The October film for Polish-American Heritage Month will be the 1948 film by Aleksander Ford, "Border Street" (Ulica Graniczna).
This 122-minute Polish language film (with subtitles) depicts the Nazis' purge of Warsaw Jews, by following the fates of five families, representing the various social, political, and ethnic strata in Warsaw, throughout the war, and culminates in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of 1943.
PLEASE NOTE: This film will be shown one week later, on October 24th, 2 to 5 PM, because of preparation work on October 17th for the Pułaski Day Ceremony on October 18th in Patterson Park at 2 PM.
Hope to see you at the Ceremony and at the film.
