Who is this hypnosis training for?
This course is for anyone who wants to learn how to hypnotise, whether that is simply curiosity at this point, or you already have a hypnosis career planned.
You might want to:
- use hypnosis as a hobby
- add hypnosis to a talking therapy
- incorporate hypnosis into a physical therapy
- become a hypnotherapist, a clinical hypnotist or a sports hypnotist
- have some awesome ‘show me something’ party tricks
- use hypnosis for fun as a street hypnotist
- become a comedy stage hypnotist
- enhance personal development
- boost professional development
Can anyone can become a hypnotist?
Rather than people being born as awesome hypnotists, being able to hypnotise is something you can learn. This training has been strategically designed to give you a strong foundation of core hypnosis skills.
It will prepare you to go in any direction, from wherever you are right now.
Whether you are curious about hypnosis, want to be able to help friends and family, desire some cool ‘show me something’ party tricks, or perhaps want to eventually become a hypnotherapist, street hypnotist or comedy stage hypnotist, this course will help you gain essential knowledge and skills.
We promote a safe learning environment. There are some people for whom hypnosis is not suitable. So please don’t book this workshop if you have any type of psychosis, depression, bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, or other altered state. Also don’t sign up if you are currently taking strong, mind-influencing Medic*tion, have high alcohol consumption, or rely on recreational substances to get through the day.
How can I use this hypnosis training?
When you’ve completed this training, and you have learned how to hypnotise, you may choose to use it in any number of ways, including:
Change work hypnotist: Helping friends and family
To help people with change, a good foundation in hypnosis skills is the starting point, and then you will be able to add in a hypnotic gift, ego strengthening and some change work suggestions. If you then want to develop further at some point, this course will give you a great foundation for training to become a hypnotherapist or clinical hypnotist.
Impromptu hypnotist: Party tricks
You will be able to hypnotise friends, even strangers, in social settings, events, parties, or even your local pub or bar. You can enjoy doing some suggestibility tests, a simple hypnosis routine, or something that demonstrates the power of the mind.
Comedy hypnotist: Entertaining people with hypnosis
Does the fun side of hypnosis excite you? This course can give you a well-informed start in this direction. You can then work out if this is something that resonates with you. This course is not intended to be a stage hypnosis course, but it will give you some awesome skills to be able to get the most from live stage hypnosis training.
Adding hypnosis into an existing role
Whether a talking therapist, nutritionist, physiotherapist, personal trainer or other change-worker, hypnosis can complement your existing work.
So does this workshop make me a hypnotherapist?
We suggest that you think of this workshop as your first step. This workshop is ideal if you are considering a career in hypnotherapy. It gives you some essential skills that will enable you to later learn hypnotherapy from an informed position, knowing that you can both learn and understand key concepts, as well as actually generate hypnotic change.
We often get asked by people interested in our Professional Hypnotherapy Diploma course whether we have a ‘dip your toe in the water’ introduction session. This workshop is perfect for those wishing to explore. You will then discover whether you are ready to dive into professional training.
As we value the time you spend with us, if you choose to join our Professional Hypnotherapy Diploma course after the workshop, we deduct the cost of this workshop from your Diploma course fee.
What will I learn during this workshop?
This workshop complements Dr Kate’s popular book, Hypnosis: How to Hypnotize – 10 steps to success and yes, you get a signed copy during the workshop!
Topic 1: Time to hypnotise
We get you to dive straight in to the world of hypnosis, exploring what hypnosis is, and isn’t, hypnotic phenomena and what is needed for hypnosis to happen. This is where you get to experience receiving and delivering hypnosis.
Topic 2: Getting engagement
Setting someone up for a good hypnosis experience can make all the difference and you will learn how to prepare yourself, the setting and your participant and practical ways of assessing their suggestibility.
Topic 3: Creating, intensifying and concluding hypnosis
You will learn different ways of generating and intensifying hypnosis in ways that best suit your participant, as well as re-alerting your participant.
Topic 4: Giving a hypnotic gift and ego boosting
You will likely have a reason for hypnotising someone, whether that is for helping them make a change, or giving them a positive or fun experience. A hypnotic gift is helpful to add into the session to help your participant feel great. Ego boosting goes further, strengthening the whole person.
Topic 5: Positive change work
During the workshop you will learn how to deliver effective hypnotic suggestions that you can tailor to suit any situation. You will also lean several highly effective techniques that suit a diverse range of mind and body change needs.
Topic 6: Having fun
Whether it is a few friends asking you to ‘show me something’, or wanting to focus on the fun side of hypnosis, you will learn how to prepare for the fun stuff, and then the hierarchy of working with hypnotic phenomena. Will you get to practice? Yes, absolutely!
Topic 7: Putting it all together and next steps
You will learn how to get practice, and access mentoring and supervision. In addition, you will get an awesome discount on our Professional Hypnotherapy Diploma course

We believe that informed practice is fundamental for developing confidence. This means giving you the resources that will help you learn and develop.
To support your learning, you are given access to a private video library of key techniques, so that you can watch these as often as you wish, to fine tune and hone your skills.
Also, rather than expect you to take copious notes during the workshop, we actually give you a copy of Dr Kate’s book, Hypnosis: How to Hypnotize, which aligns with the structure of the workshop.
