Course Overview:
This one-day course introduces participants to laser dentistry, focusing on the safe and effective use of Waterlase (Er,Cr:YSGG all-tissue laser) and Epic X(diode laser). Through concise lectures and hands-on training, participants will learn laser-tissue interactions, safety protocols, and clinical applications.
A practical workshop using pig heads will provide hands-on experience with gingival depigmentation and crown lengthening. The course emphasizes minimally invasive techniques, patient comfort, and practical integration into dental practice.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand the fundamentals of laser physics, tissue interactions, and safety protocols.
2. Compare Waterlase and Epic X lasers in terms of technology, clinical applications, and outcomes.
3. Develop hands-on skills for laser-assisted gingival depigmentation and crown lengthening.

Dr. Hind Sinan
Dr. Hind Sinan is a highly experienced, GDC-registered dental surgeon with over 20 years of clinical expertise and a special focus on implant dentistry, laser therapy, and oral surgery. She graduated from the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad in 2002 and has since undertaken advanced training with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the British Academy of Implant and Restorative Dentistry (BAIRD), where she now serves as a Surgical Mentor.
Dr. Sinan currently holds the position of Implant Clinical Advisor at Mydentist Corporate, providing expert guidance and mentorship to implant clinicians across the Southeast of England. She is also a proud Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and holds a prestigious Membership in Laser Dentistry from Aachen University in Germany.
Having lived in India, China, the Philippines, Iraq, the UAE, and now the UK, Dr. Sinan brings a truly global perspective to her work. Her diverse background has shaped her philosophy of care—rooted in adaptability, empathy, and a lifelong commitment to learning.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Sinan enjoys travelling with her two sons, cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends. She also has a passion for interior design, which continues to inspire her creativity both in and out of the clinic.
