About this Event
** Full lineup to come **
Presented by the Camden New Journal and Islington Tribune, LDN COP is our local take on the annual international climate negotiations, that replaces fossil lobbyists and treaty stalemates with stories of hope and action built from the bottom up.
Through panel talks, workshops and film screenings, LDN COP asks what "ordinary" people are doing in the face of government heel-dragging on the climate crisis.
Visitors can expect stories about direct action from anti-factory farming protestors and campaigners against new oil fields in the North Sea.
We will hear from urban planners and housing justice activists about how we need to adapt our cities in the face of a changing climate, and journalists on how to fight disinformation.
There will also be stalls and workshops where visitors can shop and learn more about local climate groups and campaigns, and a screening of the 'National Emergency Briefing' documentary followed by a Q&A session.
The idea is for everyone at the LDN COP to go home with a seed of hope and action that they can hold onto once the day is over.
