About this Event
Join us for a focus on how to ride in control and feeling good. Covering body position, how to most effectively use all of your controls, the critical techniques to apply, and important bike setup/simple tuning info as required. We will stay on easier trails, with challenges where each participant is able to choose how much to push themselves.
Learn the skills that will allow you to more confidently ride up and down the trails, especially over rocks and roots or once it gets slippery. We will customise to the desires and skills of the class, but likely we'll be starting with body position and progressing through to the techniques for lifting the front or rear wheel off the ground.
This clinic is suitable for all riders from new mountain bikers (have ridden on dirt already) to a high-intermediate level. Beginner riders will learn the skills of mountain biking so that they can progress as safely as possible. Intermediate riders will get a detailed understanding of the core points for riding a mountain bike, with personalised feedback so they can break any habits getting in their way.
If you are only new to mountain biking then it is not too early to attend this clinic, but this is not for first-time riders. If you have already taken any sort of skills lesson, you will not be disappointed with the content we cover (if you want to learn). We pack a lot into our time; so come prepared to try new things.
Standard information:
- You MUST be present from the start of the clinic. If you miss our safety talk we are not able to have you join the group. This is for everyone's well-being, and is a requirement enforced on us that we can’t make exceptions for. We suggest arriving at least 15 minutes early to ensure you and your bike are prepared and ready to go on time.
- You will need to bring your own bike.
- Requires 3 attendees for the event to run, or the event will be rescheduled.
