About This Event
A full day on the mat, 08:30 to 17:30, built entirely around karate for the first time in MASSUK's history.
The 2026 Training Camp brings together three specialist coaches — World Karate Champion Jordan Thomas, and karate/stunt performance specialists Justin Ortiz and Jewelianna Ramos-Ortiz — for hands-on Forms and Kumite technique training, plus a martial arts stunt workshop you won't find in a normal club session.
Whatever your level — beginner or competitive — there's real coaching value in the room. This isn't a meet-and-greet: it's a full working day of technique, drills and expert instruction, closing with a live Q&A and the chance to meet the coaching team.
What You'll Experience
- Two dedicated technique sessions coached by Jordan Thomas, Justin Ortiz and Jewelianna Ramos-Ortiz — choose Forms or Kumite each session, or mix and match across the day
- A two-hour martial arts stunt workshop with Justin Ortiz and Jewelianna Ramos-Ortiz
- A live Q&A with the coaching team to close the day, plus photographs and autographs
- Training pitched for karateka of every level, from junior club members to competitive athletes
Meet Your Coaches Jordan Thomas — 2016 World Karate Champion (Kumite, -67kg) and 2014 European Champion. Now Head Coach at Oaklands Wolves Karate Academy, where his athlete-development approach has already produced national champions in the academy's first year. Justin Ortiz & Jewelianna Ramos-Ortiz — specialist karate and stunt performance coaches, bringing professional stunt and action expertise to the Training Camp floor alongside Jordan.

What To Bring Athletes must bring their own sparring kit: hand mitts/gloves, leg pads/insteps, mouthguard, groin guard and headguard. A chest/body guard is preferable — without full kit, athletes may not be able to take part in all aspects of the session. Short breaks are built in throughout each session for rehydration and small snacks.
For Parents & Guardians Athletes under 18 must be registered by a responsible adult at the start of the day and collected by a responsible adult at the end of the day.
