Join us for a class on Mushroom Foraging and Cultivation in Mystic, CT. This class will be co-taught by Amy Demers, founder of CT Foraging Club, and Steve Makowicki. Steve is a citizen scientist and founder of Two Spores Farm. He specializes in off the grid mushroom cultivation and regenerative farming practices.In this class, you will learn how to forage for edible and medicinal wild mushrooms that can be found this time of year. You will also learn how to sustainably cultivate mushrooms on logs and woodchips. You will then have an opportunity to practice mushroom identification in the field. The entire class will be about 1.5 hours long.
This class will be $30 per person. 15% of ticket sales will go towards a donation to DPNC.
