About this Event
At Bishop Douglass, we are proud of the exceptional progress achieved by our Sixth Form students and of the inclusive culture that underpins this success. We believe that outstanding outcomes are achieved when every student is known, valued and supported as an individual.
Our approach combines high expectations, strong pastoral support and evidence-informed teaching and intervention strategies to maximise progress for all learners. Inclusion is central to our mission, ensuring that students from all backgrounds are supported to thrive academically, personally and spiritually. This commitment is reflected in the strong outcomes achieved across our Sixth Form and our focus on ensuring every student can fulfil their potential.
During the visit, attendees will have the opportunity to visit lessons, speak with students and meet the teachers and leaders responsible for different aspects of our Sixth Form provision. We are keen to share effective practice, but we also recognise the importance of robust evaluation in understanding what makes the greatest difference to student outcomes.
This workshop therefore focuses not only on the strategies that have contributed to strong student progress, but also on how we evaluate impact and continuously refine our practice. Through professional dialogue and collaboration, participants will explore how inclusive systems, culture and leadership can drive exceptional outcomes for all students.
