About this Event
Join us with your family, friends and neighbours as we bring the streets to life with handmade lanterns, music and a celebration of our local community.
- Date: Friday 20 November 2026
- Assembly: From 4pm at The Blue Market Place
- Parade departure: 5pm
- Route: The Blue Market Place to Southwark Park
Bring your lantern and join the procession as we make our way through the streets, accompanied by a samba band from St Michaels Collage and stewards. The evening will culminate at Southwark Park with a beautifully lit bandstand with music from Daren Callow & Unity Music Arts Trust
Free lantern-making workshops will be taking place in the weeks leading up to the parade, giving local residents, schools and community groups the chance to create their own unique lanterns.
