About this Event
Earlier this October, Mural Arts welcomed new murals, gallery exhibitions, and installations to Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood through the Heart of Kensington Creates initiative. Now, you can hear directly from artists who made the work about their creative practices, design processes, and community engagement.
From photographer Paolo Morales’ collaborative exhibition at UV Space to large-scale murals at the Allegheny and Tioga SEPTA stations, these projects reflect the stories, voices, and creativity of the Kensington community. How did local residents help shape these works? What stories do they tell about the neighborhood? Join us for an intimate, community-centered talk exploring these questions and more, moderated by Mural Arts Project Managers Ricky Yanas and Conrad Benner.
