About this Event
The full 12 hour Paediatric First Aid course, split into two parts. You do the theory online in your own time, then come to one classroom day where you learn and practise the hands-on skills.
How it works
Part 1: online learning, around 6 hours. You’ll get access after booking. Work through it at your own pace, but you must finish it before the classroom day. If you haven’t finished it, you won’t be able to take part.
Part 2: one classroom day, 6 hours. This is face to face with the trainer. It covers all the emergency skills, practised on infant and child manikins, and the practical assessment.
Who it’s for
Nursery and preschool staff, childminders, school staff working with under 5s, nannies, and anyone else who needs a full paediatric first aid certificate.

This is the full Paediatric First Aid course. It’s designed for settings that need at least one person with a full PFA certificate on the premises whenever children are present, and for childminders, who must hold the full certificate.
EYFS requires the emergency elements of the course to be taught face to face. On this course, all of those are covered in the classroom day.
Certification
You’ll receive an FAIB certificate on successful completion, valid for three years.
