Intermediate Crochet Workshop Series: Fingerless Mitts
Take your crochet skills to the next level with our Intermediate Crochet Workshop Series at Ed’s Mercantile! Perfect for those who have mastered the basics and are ready to create beautiful, functional pieces, this two-part in person and one part optional class, I will guide you through crafting these stunning "Flower Power Fingerless Mitts" using granny squares. (Pattern by Of Mars)
Class Schedule
Class 1: Flower Power Fingerless Mitts (Granny Square Style)
Date: Sunday, October 18th
Time: 1:30-3:30PM
In our first class, we will start with the classic granny square motif. We’ll work on as many squares as possible together, with the goal of completing the majority during class. You'll be able to continue crocheting your granny squares at home to prepare for our next session (4 granny squares total)
Class 2: Assembling The Mitts
Date: Sunday October 25th
Time: 1:30-3:30
In our second class, we will join the granny squares, and learn new techniques like front post and back post double crochet to complete the thumb, and wrist portions of your mitts. Any unfinished portion of the project will be finished at home.
Class 3: Optional Assistance Class (Add-on)
Investment: $35
Date: Sunday November 1st
Time: 1:30AM-3:00PM
To ensure your success, I will offer an additional class to assist you with any unfinished parts, giving you the oppotunity to ask any questions and work through areas where you might be stuck! This is an add-on and you can decide later on if you would like to attened depending on how your progress is going.
Materials & Details
- Materials Provided (add-on of $15): Light worsted weight yarn of 3-4 different colours (wool or a wool blend) and a 5mm crochet hook.
- Optional: If you prefer to use your own yarn, bring 150 yards in four different colors.
Location: Ed’s Mercantile, 605 Bloor Street West
Cost: $85 for 2 in person classes without materials
Add-on of $15 if you would like to purchase materials from us.

***You must have either taken my 3 part beginner series already, or have experience in the basics of crochet to take this class. (single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet and chains)
