About this Event
Want to escape the city's hustle and bustle without needing to go far? Join us at Earl Bales Park for a peaceful morning dedicated to urban tranquillity and mental clarity.
As late autumn settles in, we’ll guide you through a gentle, low-impact walk focused on sensory awakening and quiet reflection. Whether you want to clear your mind or connect with others, this hike offers a low-barrier space to pause and find your inner calm.
Note: Exact meeting spot and details will be emailed to registered participants prior to the event.
Our Community Space: This hike is intentionally created to center Black and Black Queer communities, with a a openly warm welcome to Indigenous kin, and respectful allies. We prioritize building a safe, supportive, and restorative outdoor space for everyone in our circle.
Health and Wellness Disclaimer:
Our community hikes offer a grounding environment to rest, move, and reconnect with nature. Please note that this walk is a general wellness and recreational activity led by a trauma-informed facilitator. It is not clinical psychotherapy, mental health treatment, or medical advice, nor is it designed to diagnose or treat trauma, PTSD, or clinical conditions.
While nature walks are a complementary practice for holistic health, this does not replace professional medical or mental health care. Participants are responsible for their own well-being during the outing. If you are looking for culturally responsive mental health care resources, please reach out to your group facilitator, as we are happy to share trusted community resources with you.
