About this Event
Help Build the Skilled Workforce That Builds Our Community!
Farmington Municipal Schools invites construction companies, contractors, skilled trades professionals, apprenticeship representatives, and industry leaders to help design the future of skilled trades education in the Four Corners Region.
With our new 4,000-square-foot Skilled-Trades Lab scheduled to open in Fall 2027, we have an exciting opportunity to create training programs that reflect the actual needs of local industry.
We need your expertise to make sure our students are learning the right skills, using the right tools, and earning credentials that employers value.
During this working session, we will:
- Identify priority skills and workforce needs in Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Welding, and Construction.
- Review industry-recognized credentials and safety training requirements.
- Develop ideas for future course content and hands-on projects.
- Identify equipment, technologies, and training spaces needed for our new lab.
- Explore how industry professionals can help guide and support instruction.
