About this Event
Help Us Power the Future of Energy Careers in the Four Corners!
Farmington Municipal Schools is developing a new Energy and Oil & Gas career pathway, and we are inviting industry leaders and professionals to help design it.
The Four Corners Region has a rich history in energy production. As technology advances and workforce needs evolve, we have an exciting opportunity to prepare students for both established and emerging energy careers.
Your expertise will help determine what students need to know, what they need to be able to do, and which credentials will prepare them for employment.
During this working session, we will:
- Identify priority entry-level energy and oil and gas occupations.
- Explore curriculum related to production, instrumentation, process operations, industrial maintenance, and emerging technologies.
- Identify industry-recognized credentials, safety certifications, and technical skills.
- Determine the tools, equipment, simulators, and hands-on training experiences needed for our new pathway.
- Discuss opportunities for industry professionals to guide curriculum and instruction.
