About this Event

This CPD event is organised by

IHBC London, South East & South Branches

and will be delivered by

Bob Kindred MBE IHBC


The session will cover:

• Review of powers under the 1990 Act

• Relevant Policy including the NPPF

• Interaction with enforcement officers & and briefing of prosecution solicitors;

• Complementary skills: writing offence reports; written evidence; structure, evidence and documentation

• Heritage Crime: guidance for sentencers

• The role of councillors and delegated powers


Bob Kindred MBE IHBC has been working professionally across the public, private and voluntary heritage sectors since 1979. He was the originator in 1996, and continues to maintain for the IHBC, the National Database of Listed Building Prosecutions; was external advisor to the government’s Best Practice Guidance on Listed Building Prosecutions; and mounted a number of successful prosecutions for his former localauthority. In private practice, Bob has been expert witness for a number of other local planning authorities.
