🎤 EMO KARAOKE NIGHT – CRY HARD OR GO HOME 🖤IF YOU'VE MANAGED TO GET DOWN TO ONE OF THESE BEFORE, YOU'LL KNOW THIS IS NOT AN EVENT TO MISS! Come and meet your Local Emo Legends and have a good ol' cathartic cry/sing along!!
Miss the days when your biggest life crisis was which Hawthorne Heights lyric best matched your MSN name? Still mourning the breakup of MCR like it happened yesterday? Think a black wristband, a studded belt (or three), and trousers defying gravity were a lifestyle, not a phase?
Then dust off your eyeliner, spike that fringe (even if it’s receding), and scream-sing your little black heart out at EMO KARAOKE – only at The Lion, BS5, Bristol's home of heartbreak, hair dye, and eyeliner smudges.
Your Local Emo Legends (LELs) are here to help you scream your feelings into the void (or at least into a mic). We’re talking scratched Taking Back Sunday CDs, Limewire viruses, and the sacred art of layering black over black over black. 🖤
The Rules (because chaos still needs structure):
The song must be certified EMO™ – as judged by the official LEL Council of Crybabies.
No repeats. So if someone beats you to Helena, you're just gonna have to sob through I’m Not Okay instead.
Too shy to sing? That’s fine, we still need you to throw up your XxRAWRxX hands, scream-cry into the crowd, and give the performers your best emotional support growls. 🖤
Extras include:
🖋️ Optional H4rdK0r3 flash tattoos (yes, really).
🎁 Prize for Best Dressed – chokers, checkered Vans, and panda eyes encouraged.
🎵 Eternal glory (or at least a blurry photo on someone’s 2005 digital camera).
It’s not just a karaoke night – it’s a nostalgic descent into the eyeliner-soaked abyss of your youth. Come relive your teenage angst, one Dashboard Confessional chorus at a time.
THIS ISN’T A PHASE – THIS IS EMO KARAOKE.
